Our Licensed Remediation Specialist and Field Technicians can provide expert technical services for on-site remediation systems and a full range of soil and ground water sampling and drilling services.

We maintain Professional Engineering Licenses in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and have over 25 years experience in environmental permitting and compliance auditing.

Our database management team includes AutoCAD and GIS/Key operators with experience in numerous geological mapping programs and applications.

Steve Zbur, P.G. is President of CORE and has been practicing environmental consulting for more than 21 years. Mr. Zbur has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Tom Rebar, Licensed Remediation Specialist - Mr. Rebar has over 12 years of experience as an environmental consultant working with petroleum industry clients in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the surrounding states, including seven years as a WV Licensed Remediation Specialist (LRS). Mr. Rebar currently manages CORE’s West Virginia office and staff, and is the primary contact for clients and regulatory agencies on projects he manages.

Jeffrey Holmes, P.E. is a Professional Engineer and Senior Project Manager with CORE with more than 23 years of experience in the environmental field. Mr. Holmes obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and maintains professional engineering licenses in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Connecticut and New York.

Peter Libell, Manager of Field Operations - Mr. Libell has been working for CORE Environmental for 3 years. He has a strong background in construction with ten years past experience as a Construction Superintendent.

Nick Rebar, Project Manager - Mr. Rebar has field experience with the installation of remediation systems and their associated operation and maintenance activities. Mr. Rebar also has hands-on service experience at various petroleum bulk storage and retail gasoline facilities.

Heather Gawne is a Project Manager for CORE with ten years experience in environmental project management, coordination, supervision, field activities and presentation of data using geographic information systems (GIS) applications. Ms. Gawne has a Masters of Environmental Science and Management (MESM) degree from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

Brandon D. Verba is a Staff Scientist for CORE Environmental Services, Inc. with four years experience in environmental coordination, supervision, field activities; and management, maintenance and presentation of data using geographic information systems (GIS) applications. He has also supervised field programs which included overseeing installation of monitoring wells, shooting top of casing elevations, overseeing excavations, and collecting soil and ground water samples for analysis.
